My name is Freckles.

We are collectively known as Jeramie! Alone, we are Jeremy and Jamie. While we do not have children of our own, we have been foster parents for over a year with an end goal of adopting children! We are stable in our employment and finances and enjoy parenting. We live in rural Virginia on 1 acre of land with trees all around and we are 30 minutes from the closest Wal-Mart and Movie Theater. We have a dog named Enry, a white Samoyed, and two cats, Cheshire and Jackson (Fat Jack). We have a garden and enjoy BBQ's on the deck.

For over a year now, we have served as foster parents for 6 children between the ages of 2 and 12 with a range of behavior issues from moderate to severe including Bi-Polar and ADHD. During that time, we enjoyed watching each of these children grow stronger. We worked everyday to teach them responsibility and the joys of family. But for us, we are looking for a more permanent relationship and are focusing currently only on adoption.

Jeremy is a senior software engineer who enjoys his toys and is nothing short of a full fledged Geek - and yes, he has the T-Shirt! Jamie is a part time cell phone sales person for a national retail chain. Jamie enjoys video games and being mom. Jeremy enjoys cooking and building stuff from a deck to entertainment center. We both enjoy being creative, volunteering, going out for dinner and movies and taking trips, especially to Asheville, NC.

We are truly in love. We enjoy hugs and kisses and are not afraid to say I love you. We embrace the children in our home with hugs and pillow fights. We like to eat at the dinner table, but also eat on the couch from time to time. And regardless of the events of the day, we always enjoy tucking our children in at night and bed time is our time to remind ourselves that we are a family! Jeremy is a bit loud and boisterous and enjoys goofing around - never afraid to act stupid for a couple of cheap laughs. Jamie is the silent pillar of the family always the one who sees the little things and is always in the background tweaking this and that to ensure the family is running smooth!

We believe strongly that karma is the most important thing in life. We often volunteer in our community and Jeremy even serves on the Board of Directors of a non-profit origination. Jeremy also volunteers as the technical director for the First Technical Challenge Robotics Tournaments in Virginia. We believe in educating our children about religion, culture and ethnical differences of not only the world, but our own back yard. We encourage our children to voice their thoughts and opinions, but expect them to understand not only the consequences of their actions, but the simple truth that you have to give to receive.

We love being parents. There is nothing more fulfilling to us that earning a child's respect and trust. And there is nothing more fun than the 20 minutes of horsing around after dinner!
