Project LIFE (Living Independently, Focusing on Empowerment) is a partnership with the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) and United Methodist Family Services (UMFS). The goal of the project is to promote permanent family connections for older youth while coordinating and enhancing life skills development for older youth in and transitioning out of foster care.
If you qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (ETIC), you could triple your savings through the Virginia Individual Development Account (VIDA) program and use that money toward becoming a homeowner, education, or starting a new business.
Foster Club offers information and support to youth in foster care, including articles, message boards, contests, discussion of foster care topics, and even biographies of famous people who grew up in care.
